Series II: "gold paintings"

The gold paintings were created in the late 1990’s.

The forms in these paintings originated from a combination of still life material and antique objects and quickly transformed into abstract, personal medical narratives and dream states. They contain science fiction overtones and an element of fantasy.

Paintings from this series were selected for inclusion in the 1998 southeastern edition of New American Paintings. This work also received a merit award at the annual Miami White Water Valley Art Competition, Richmond, Indiana.
