Several drawing and painting installations are shown here.

The Journey series 1986-1988 consists of eight large panels, each contains twenty-five 18”x 24”drawings assembled in a quilt like form. Media is sumi ink on arches.

Dada Poem Recipe: words from a newspaper article-put in a paper bag, shaken and drawn out randomly-making the poem.

Journey

There is in all of us some longing
A silence is necessary
And it lies in the attitude
Which answers to the spirit

On the other hand there is grief
An alternate explanation
But there are no words
I pray to evening

A second drawing installation was created for Directly on the Wall at Artswatch in Louisville, Kentucky in the late 1989. Media is sumi ink on a variety of papers.

Two environmental installations were assembled during a residency fellowship at Yaddo, Saratoga Springs, New York in 1993. Both works were assembled from original drawings, photographs, environmental quotes written and stamped on birch panels, ceramic sculptures and handmade clay stones combined with pine needles found on site.

The last installation shown was titled Seventeen Years. It was exhibited at the Essex Studio in 2004 and consisted of three walls of drawings completed over a seventeen year period. Assembled in celebration of the seventeen year cycle of the cicadas.
